Biography - Karen Michno
Karen Michno Karen Michno studied art at the University of Arkansas where she completed her degree in Art Education. After college she worked for the oil industry with computer graphics. While working full time she painted with watercolors, currently she is working in oils. "The best advise that school offered was to paint who you are. I am doing that now. I spent ten years riding colts every day, raising my own colts, breaking, training, showing and selling. When I paint a horse I strive to capture his soul."
Karen says she likes to paint traditional subjects with an impressionistic pallet. " My subjects are Southwestern landscapes, my local horse friends, people and landscapes from my own rural area. "I work to express my feelings for my subjects and to depict the rhythm of my rural Life."
